Tax
VAT (BTW / TVA)
Value Added Tax (BTW in Dutch, TVA in French, MwSt in German) is a tax on consumption. As a registered business you charge VAT on your sales (output VAT) and deduct the VAT you paid on business purchases (input VAT), remitting the difference to the tax authority.
The standard rate in Belgium is 21%, with reduced rates of 12% and 6% for specific goods and services. Other EU countries set their own rates.
Eurobillr calculates VAT per line, supports reduced and zero rates, reverse-charge and exemptions, and pre-fills your periodic VAT return.
